Many benefits with LED Lighting
When we say LED lighting, what do you think of? Small, faint diodes that make everything human look like pale death? Not any more. With the introduction of blue diodes at the end of the 1990s, people expected a completely new, energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly lighting technology. It instantly became possible to create the right lighting with LED technology. And we have taken advantage of this new LED technology in our Capella fixture.
One thing we know for sure about the future: Tomorrow’s retail lighting will be based on LED technology. We all know the reason why. It’s about managing our natural resources. Lighting based on LED technology is the most energy-efficient type of lighting. Compared with conventional incandescent lights, LED lights only use 10% of the amount of energy to achieve the same light strength, and work on developing even more efficient diodes is racing ahead. With LED lighting in your store, you can drastically reduce energy consumption, while simultaneously minimizing the radiant heat from the LED lighting. But the benefits of LED lighting don’t just end with reduced energy consumption. Compare the lifespan of diodes with all other types of lighting. LED technology and the diodes clearly have the advantage. One diode has a lifespan of 70,000 hours, a halogen light has 20,000 hours and a conventional incandescent light has 2000 hours. Also, because diodes do not contain any heavy metals, recycling them is a clean process with no detrimental impact on the environment.
Mona Lisa is hanging on the Louvre in Paris. There, LED lighting is used for good lighting and LED lighting does not emit infrared or UV rays that give color changes to items such as artifacts, textiles, clothing, furniture, cosmetics or fresh foods.
